Entering the 405 freeway.  Southbound.  Wilshire Blvd.  Night. Blurry.

This onramp is never empty.  This spooks me a little.  It is a Friday night and there is no traffic in Los Angeles.

The Traffic gods must be paying back.  I have spent the better part of the day inside a VA.  The LA VA.  If you don’t know what it is, be thankful.  I wasn’t there for me.  No.  I won’t go into it but suffice to say that I am glad I don’t have the legacy benefit available to me.  No thanks.

I know someone being treated there.

It took a few years and a few letters and few pictures to increase the benefit from a mere 30% to 100%, but it worked.  It worked this one time.

Tonight I am going home.  Not everyone is going home tonight, but I am.

  1. What a beautifully composed photo. Have you done the Black and White Challenge? The B&W works well here. The VA can work wonders. I love someone who was treated in one, too. And he came home and is so much better. I wish peace, healing, and happiness to the one you love. Best wishes, WG
